If your anything like me your constantly having to buy lip balm especially during the winter. For some reason you just keep misplacing them and never see them again. So how about you stop wasting money on constantly having to buy a new one and make your own. And if your not like me and constantly loose them then you can make your own just to have your own personalized lip balm or lipstick, or you can give them away.
What you'll need:
- 1 part beeswax (ex: 1 tablespoon)
- 2 part shea butter (ex: 2 tablespoons)
- 2 parts coconut oil
- Essential oil (optional)
- A container to store it in when your done
Remember that you can adjust this how ever you'd like so that you get exactly the amount you want and the way you want it.
What to do:
- Put about an inch of water in a small pan and turn on medium heat.
- Place a smaller jar in the water, but don't get any water in it.
- Place all of your ingredients in the jar (except essential oil) and let them melt.
- Stir until everything is fully melted and mixed. Turn off the heat when it's done, but leave the jar in the water.
- Stir in the essential oil/s
- Carefully pour it into your container/s
- Let it sit until it completely hardens, and your done.
Store it in a cool dry place, if stored correctly they will last at least a year. Enjoy!
