DIY Gummy Bear Soap

Have you ever had those days where you just feel like being creative, but don't really know what to do? Or do you just want something that you use daily that is personalized to your liking, but can also be used as decoration? Well how about you make your own soap. Making your own soap isn't that difficult and it can be a lot of fun when you're creative with it.

That's why I decided to make my very own, gummy bear shaped soap.

To make my soap I used:

  1. Glycerin Soap which I got from Amazon.
  2. A Gummy Bear mold which I also got from Amazon. I made gummy bear soap, but you can make whatever type of soap you'd like just by making a mold using mold putty which you can find at any arts and crafts store.
  3. Food Coloring you can possibly find this at your local grocery or dollar store.
  4. Essential oil, adding a scent to your soap is optional you can used whatever scents you'd like or just leave it scentless.
The process is very simple all you need to do is:
  1. Cut out the amount of soap your going to used, and cut it into squares so that the melting process is easier.
  2. Put your soap into a microwave safe container and heat the glycerin soap until it's completely melted. Make sure to stir the soap occasionally as well to make sure it is completely melted.
  3. Divide the soap into different containers so that you can make different color gummy bears.
  4. Add the food coloring and essential oil of your choice. (A little bit of fragrance goes a long way so add it slowly).
  5. Carefully pour your soap into the mold/s, wait for it to harden, remove it from the mold and your done!
Now you can enjoy your very own unique gummy bear soap, or whatever other type of soap you chose to do.
